I know that antibiotics are necessary in this extreme situation; however, if horses can tolerate it (my dogs thrive on it)--- I wonder whether the addition of yogurt (high quality organic yogurt ---with all the probiotics--- would help Bobby. If not the actual yogurt in food form; perhaps the probiotics themselves, which would restore the flora that the antibiotics are destroying in his intestinal tract. Perhaps it would aid in stregnthening of his immune system. I follow the nutritional advice of Dr. Wyusong and the Solid Gold company to maintain the health of the canine members of my family. I am very serious about this for them; and their well being. Perhaps Bobby's medical team might be open to nutritional therapy. In Athens, Georgia, wehere I live, there are some holistic veterinarians who work miracles using nutritional therapy in conjunction with the traditional therapies.
