Ashkal Way has flourished under the Godolphin banner since being sent to the USA and won his first race at the top level in the Grade One Citation Handicap run on turf at Hollywood Park on November 24, 2006

A winner of six of his seven starts in America, including two Grade Two events, Ahskal Way once again showed admirable determination. Ridden by Garrett Gomez, Ashkal Way came from off the pace to improve his position on the home turn and lead the field approaching the final furlong. From there he went on to win by a length in a time of 1m 39.67s.

Ashkal Way started his 2007 season in the best possible way with a victory in the Listed Lure Stakes over an extended mile on turf at Gulfstream Park in Florida on April 1. It proved to be another comfortable win for Ashkal Way who came from off the pace to lead with a furlong to run before going on to score by a head in a time of 1m 40.36s.

Ashkal Way was retired from racing in August 2007.
