At the Ready

At the Ready (aka Beamer) came into my life in September 2006. I had been looking for a horse to rehab, and found out about him through a rescue organization in Washington.

Beam has an interesting history. Fractured his skull as a 2 year old - fortunately he was not put down, but given time off to heal. Went back into training, and did run as a 4 year old (without much success) until his knee chipped.

It has really taken him almost two years to settle in, become a horse and let his personality come through. He is really a character - always up to something.
