I've loved hores for as long as I can remember. I've read the entire Black Stallion series and many other horse stories. I had a pony (and not much else) breifly when I was young. Chief and I explored half our county with just a halter and lead rope. Since then, I spent most of my vacations on horse back throughout europe and western asia. The best was a 7 day trip across Ireland. I returned to my home town in 2000 to help my aging parents and decided to finaly buy a horse. In early 2003, I found a nice little farm where I live to this day.
I've been acitve with on-line yahoo rescue groups since @ 2001 under the name kami_brooks15059 and joined ABR @ June 2007. I've been helping horses with no where else to go since 2002. Each horse has been a great teacher. I've been studying racing horses for about 4 years and try to help the horses at my local track, Mountaineer.
