Feed & hay support

So many of you readers have had questions about how to help support TB Friends. To provide a streamlined way for your collective contributions to make a difference, an account has been set up at Windmill Feeds in Woodland, CA in Joe Shelton’s name. Joe can use the account at his discretion for the needs of the horses and other critters, and the ranch. That could be for feed, medications, and/or supplies. Joe knows very well what he needs at any given time!

This option in no way takes the place for those of you who would prefer to send contributions to TB Friends directly, be it specifically for rescuing a horse or buying some feed. Joe always honors any specific requests you might make.

If this sounds like a workable plan to you, please follow these directions:

• If you wish to send a check, make a check to Windmill Feed and include a note that the check is for Joe Shelton’s account and mail it to:

    Windmill Feed
    34530 County Road 29
    Woodland, CA 95695

• If you prefer to donate money through a credit card, call the office at 530-662-2620 and tell them it's for Joe Shelton's account.

Joe always wants to know who to thank, so if you’re comfortable with that, please include your name and brief message.

Thank you so much for considering this option to support rescued horses!

Yes, there are many great rescues all across America. Maybe this is a viable method for people to help support other favorite rescues, as well. Please, share the idea :)

Joe has two blocks of hay delivered per week at a cost of about $1200. If anyone would like to contribute to Joe's hay account, it will have to be by a check only. Any donations for hay can be sent directly to Joe's hay broker:

   Tom Hayes
   15140 County Road 91B
   Woodland, CA 95695

If you do this, make sure you say the check is for "Joe Shelton's account". Tom delivers hay to Joe and does all he can to work with Joe's sometimes invisible checking account!
