Description of Rescue

Incorporated as of 2006 Located in Clayton, CA We are very small, operating at our home, and funded primarily by our own salaries (my sister and I) We take in primarily horses with hoof and leg issues, also ones with Cushing's and Insulin Resistance. We have had over 5 years experience with the Equine cushing's group on Yahoo and are knowledgable in treating horses with diet and medications. We have had excellent results with surgical and chronic wounds as well. Our horses have come from Auction, Feedlot, Private party surrender and from PMU rescue. We have temporary rescues, rehabbed and rehomed, and also a lot of permanent residents due to chronic illness. We have taken in many terminal horses, to give them a dignified final few days, weeks, months or whatever they are willing to do. We have applied for Non profit in late 06, and were notified in mid 07 that we had to fix some paperwork, which was resubmitted in Feb 08. We have a full time ranch caretaker, and myself and my sister. we have occational volunteers, but are always in need of helpers. We are generally here for volunteers on Sundays. volunteering is most helpful in grooming, loving, and walking horses.

Rescue Network

We work with Bay Equestrian Network, Rescues Only and SOS, as well as with the ABR FOBs.
