Description of Rescue
Corporate Status: 501(c)(3)
Location: Phelan, Ca 92371
Years of Operations: I have been rescuing horses since 1996 on a very small scale. In 2002 I began taking in more horses since I then had my own property to keep horses rather then boarding horses. In 2006 our corporation was started and in 2007 our 501(c)(3) was completed.
Type of Rescue: We have some sanctuary horses who will stay with us forever but most of our horses are rehab cases that once rehab has been completed they are adopted out.
Fostering procedures: All foster homes just as in adopting must fill out an adoption application and it must be approved prior to a horse going to a foster location.
Adoption policies: We have adoption contracts that go with all of our horses. We retain ownership on all of our horses and require the horse to be returned to us if the adopter no longer wants the horse or can not keep the horse.
Source of Horses: Owner turn in, county animal control, auctions, and feedlots.
Visitor hours: By appointment only. (I work a full time job)
Volunteer information: Always in need of volunteers who can come out clean and fill water buckets, groom & bath horses, ride & exercise horses, etc.
Education programs: Kids Camp and after school programs. More to come soon!

All 3 are doing wonderful and have gone on to happy healthy lives. The FOBS did help with medical bills for Billy who had Choke and thank you to the FOBS he made it thru with out any problems and is getting big and is a beautiful boy!!

Saved by the FOBs from So. Calif feedlot. We were his Temporary/Immediate foster home until his current foster home was available. Rescue headed up by Saving Horses, Inc.
