Zamara
Zamara (registered name Chika) was rescued from auction by the FOBs in October 2006. She was one of the horses rescued in the "In Honor of Barbaro Challege". Zamara is an 8 year old Thoroughbred mare, she is blind in her right eye. It is believed this was due to an injury, such as a whip hitting her in the eye. She was raced in Oregon, last raced in March and April of 2006. She was adopted by FOB Faye, that's me.

Zamara is doing well and is happy with her companion, "Zestiny", a 9 year old registered Arabian gelding. Besides eating, Zamara loves to: 1)Run, 2)Roll in the dirt. She often likes to "pretend" she's spooked, so she can run at near race track speeds around her turnout. She is very gentle and comes when called, especially if she knows I have treats in my hand.
